The Restoration of the Ridian Empire

The Restoration of the Ridian Empire

As decreed by His Imperial Majesty, Metilles the Reforger

Year 960 A.D. of the Myrian Calendar

After a decade of chaos, war, and division, the Fallen Empire has been reforged - not in the image of conquest, but in the spirit of unity and survival, and standing together in a time where the people of the world need it most.

Emperor Metilles, a once thought weak claimant to the throne, showed his true resolve in uniting the people. First leading them against the demons of the abyss, and then turning home to end the War of False Emperors, as the civil war has been dubbed by historian. And now, he has rebuilt what was broken. The Ridian Empire is restored.

But this is not the Empire of old.

The Structure of the Restored Ridian Empire

Imperial Core - The lands directly ruled by Emperor Metilles

Myria

The Ridian Empire Remnants

  • Seeing as the Ridian Empire now is restored, this state has been renamed to Old Ridia, honoring the roots of the Emperor’s family line. As with the Stormwatch Duchy, loyalist figures were also raised to nobility, granted lordships or positions at court.

Allied Regions

Rea Eloras

  • In recognition of the help the Yu’ir Elves of Rea Eloras, granting the Emperor and his troops and the refugees of various battles knowledge of and sanctuary in the Realm of the Planar Tree, and to honor the loss of it, Rea Eloras has been granted its independence from the Empire. To secure a landed access between the Himari Kingdom and Old Ridia, Rea Eloras have given over a small portion of their lands to the Himari Kingdom.

  • This was written in the Treaty of Ashen Roots. No future emperor may revoke it, under penalty of exile and divine condemnation.

  • They now remain a close and trusted ally of the Empire.
