Description / Appearance

Cha’askani, “Kani” was a muscular woman from the Anuhm Realms. She wore her hair short in a buzzcut, had jade earrings shaped in claws and red lines on her cheekbone and jaw.
Her dragonmark spread over her shoulders down her triceps and was shaped like the outline of scales. On her shoulder blades she had two huge identical scars.

Personality Traits

Kani prided herself on her strength. There was an inherent restlessness that appeared to others as reckless but she was willing to do everything to never have something taken from her again. Not without a fight, and boy, did she fight.

She liked to live wild and loud and got uncomfortable if people tried to see more in her than what she showed them. Maybe she hid even from herself but for now it was enough for everyone to perceive her as violent and stubborn. Even Kani wasn’t sure if there’s anything more than that left in her.

Background

At home in the Anuhm Realms, Cha’askani was part of the People of Iyantu, who lived in the valleys and the mountains. The Iyantu are a two class society; the Antasaya, gifted with wings by their gods and the Huayas, those born without wings and therefore of lower status. Cha’askanis father was the brother of the Reign Father and Army General of the Antasaya. She was raised to become a warrior like him.

One day she met a boy of the Huayas on a hunting track and befriended him, finding out that they were born on the same day. Two years later, shortly before Cha’askani would join the ranks of the army they meet once more and the boy attacked Cha’askani. He stole her wings, claiming that she has stolen his fate when they were born.

After the attacka Cha’askani felt too ashamed to return to her family and decided to leave the valleys. It was the first time Kani ran away from anything.

Rydel	Good friend	Cha’askani wasn’t sure what to think of Rydel’s ideals for a while, but then as their friendship grew she started to respect them more. She even started to admire them and had the urge to prove herself a good and reliable friend to him.
Syphax	Rydel’s ‘brother’: friend	Syphax is very important to Rydel, so Cha’askani cared for him as well. She also really wanted to wrestle Syphax someday, just to measure her strength against a real dragon for once.
