The SSH terminal you can trust with your servers
Reach any Linux server from your Android phone. Your keys stay locked behind your fingerprint, and nothing about you or your servers ever leaves the phone.
Why Pocket SSH
Your keys never leave your phone
Keys are created on the device and locked in Android's secure key store. Every connection needs your fingerprint or screen lock, so without you the keys cannot be used.
No account. No cloud. No tracking.
There is nothing to sign up for and no server of ours in between. Your servers, keys and commands stay on your phone. The app has no analytics and no ads.
Works with any SSH server
A VPS, a Raspberry Pi, a NAS, a home server or the box at work. If it speaks SSH, you can reach it, with a key or a password. Keys are recommended, and a password can be remembered behind your fingerprint.
Stops man in the middle attacks
The app remembers each server's host key. If it ever changes, the connection stops until you have checked it. No silent "yes" to a stranger.
Paste without surprises
Before pasted text is sent, the app shows hidden characters, control codes and Windows line endings. Scripts can run exactly as shown, byte for byte.
A terminal made for your thumbs
Extra keys for Esc, Tab, Ctrl and arrows. Favorite commands one tap away. The connection survives when you switch apps, and tmux picks up where you left.
Find that output again
Search everything the server printed, even what scrolled away. The history keeps each command with its output, ready to copy.
Check before you connect
The Test button shows whether the server answers and which host key it has, without logging in.
Even better with Tailscale
Use Tailscale and SSH never has to be open to the internet. The app understands your tailnet: it uses the MagicDNS name as a fallback and tells you when Tailscale is turned off, so you are not left guessing why nothing answers.
Who it is for
- Developers with a VPS who want to restart a service from the sofa.
- Selfhosters and homelab owners running Docker, Nextcloud or Home Assistant.
- Admins who need a safe way in when the laptop is not at hand.
