Pocket SSH TerminalDanskDeutschFrançaisEspañolPrivacy policy for Pocket SSH Terminal
Effective from 21 October 2026.
In short
Pocket SSH Terminal sends no information about you to us or to anyone else. Everything you create in the app stays on your phone.
What the app stores, and where
The following is stored on your phone only:
- Server profiles, that is name, address, port and user name.
- SSH keys. The private part is encrypted with a key in Android's secure key store and can only be used after fingerprint or screen lock.
- Passwords, but only if you choose to remember them. They are encrypted exactly like the SSH keys.
- Accepted host keys for your servers.
- Favorite commands and settings.
- A local event log of connections and host keys. It never contains commands or output.
Terminal content, history and search exist only in memory while the app is running.
The app is excluded from Android backup and from transfer to a new phone, so none of the above ends up in a cloud. When you uninstall the app, all of it is deleted.
What leaves the phone
- The SSH connection to the server you chose yourself. It is encrypted, and we have no access to it.
- Bugs and wishes. Only if you choose to write to us. The app shows exactly what will be sent and hands it to your own mail app. Nothing is sent until you press send there. We use your email and message to answer you and to improve the app, and we do not share them with anyone.
- Purchases. Purchases are handled by Google Play. Google processes the payment and the related information under Google's own privacy policy. The app only learns whether Pro has been bought.
What the app does not do
No ads, no analytics, no tracking, no crash reporting and no account with us.
